I have come to realize that Luceti has many strong fighters. My question is: where did you get your fighting experience from? Have you all trained by your own choice, or is it a part of your background?

It seems that military experience would be the obvious answer, doesn't it? Odd how that doesn't seem to apply to as many here as one might think.

For my part, I was a captain in one branch of our army back home.

Yes, it would seem to be the obvious answer. However, it seems that there are quite a few here who are strong without military experience, which is what drove my curiosity.

I was a general of my army back home. I've been in armies pretty much all my life... that's where my fighting experience comes from.

Perhaps every other world out there is infested with monsters. I can't think of much else that would explain the number of fighters here.

That may be a logical conclusion. Or, in some cases, there may be quests that these people learn to fight on.
