I have come to realize that Luceti has many strong fighters. My question is: where did you get your fighting experience from? Have you all trained by your own choice, or is it a part of your background?

Nope, just got some advice. There were no ninja's around to ask back then.

Erm... what exactly is the difference between a samurai and a ninja?

Fighting style, clothes, weapons, beliefs.

...How the heck do you not know even one of them?

Okay. Samurai are usually use close up weapons, wear armor, almost all of them are men, and they have an obsession with honor. Ninjas get to sneak around, spy on people, usually wear all black, but that's no fun, and have all of the fun weapons. Most of the time they can come and go without being seen.

Excuse me for not having samurais or ninjas in Tellius.

I see... so ninjas are more like spies, while Samurai are more like your standard warriors.

If you're gonna put it simply, then yeah.

Are there more ninjas in your land now than there were when you first started?

Well, since I was the only ninja until I started teach, I have to say yep!

So, you're something of a trendsetter then, aren't you? That's quite interesting. I haven't met someone who started a fighting style.

Well, I guess it could be blamed on the war. But being able to call myself the greatest ninja in the world is also a good incentive.

Hmm? There was a war in your world? Could you please tell me about it?

Uh...sure. You want the long or short version?

How about we start with the short version and then you can elaborate from there. How does that sound?

My home is called Wutai, and we were against a company called ShinRa. When I was around eight ShinRa wanted to put something in Wutai that was very bad, so that's when it started. Eventually the war went on long enough that too many people were getting killed, so for a truce ShinRa wouldn't put anything there, but they were to make it into a vacation spot...which meant we lost anyway.

What was this thing that ShinRa was planning to put in your home? And then they turned it into a vacation spot... that sounds like a troublesome fate.

It's called a reactor. Used for power, but they are bad for the world. And yes, for a place like Wutai, that was an insult.

Hmm, I see... was Wutai home to many warriors before this happened? Then it would be doubly insulting.

[materiathief]

Only samurai, but there was a whole lot of them. Now there's only ninja's.
